CBWTF PROCESS

Scientific Bio-Medical Waste Management System

Safe & Secure
Eco-Friendly
Certified Process

Process Overview

After collection and transport from the hospital, the waste bags are re-scanned at the CBWTF before being unloaded. The vehicle then moves to the washing bay for cleaning. The segregated waste then follows a precise, scientifically designed treatment pathway to ensure safe and environmentally responsible disposal.

1Autoclaving Process

Autoclaving uses high-pressure saturated steam at approximately 121°C (250°F) for around 15-20 minutes to achieve sterilization. This process effectively eliminates all microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and spores.

2Shredding Process

After sterilization, the waste undergoes shredding to reduce its volume and render it unrecognizable and unreusable. This step ensures complete destruction of any potentially hazardous materials and prevents reuse of medical waste.

Process Details

  • Treatment and Disposal Method: High-Temperature Incineration
  • Waste Category: Infectious, chemical, and pharmaceutical waste
  • Process: Destruction using high temperatures
  • Result: Waste is converted into inert ash and gases
  • Primary Goal: Effectively neutralizes the hazardous properties of the waste

After Disposal in Biomedical Waste

After proper disposal of biomedical waste, we ensure:

1. Complete destruction of pathogens and contaminants through appropriate treatment methods

2. Environmentally safe disposal of treated waste residues in accordance with regulatory guidelines

Safe disposal process

Autoclave and Shredding

Selected waste streams undergo steam sterilization in autoclaves to eliminate all microorganisms.

Following sterilization, the waste is shredded to reduce volume.

After autoclaving and shredding, items are sent to an authorized recycler.
