Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is generated at various locations within the hospital. This waste is then collected and transported to a dedicated Common Storage Area, which is specifically designed for MSW.
Following this, a municipal vehicle collects the waste from the Common Storage Area and transports it to a treatment and disposal facility.
After biomedical waste is generated in clinical areas like Operation Theatres, Pathology Labs, and patient Wards, it is immediately segregated into specific colored bags at the point of generation. These securely tied bags are then transported to the hospital's designated common storage room.
Then a dedicated vehicle from the Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment Facility (CBWTF) arrives at the hospital. The CBWTF waste handler collects all the segregated bags directly from this common storage room.
The collected biomedical waste is then transported by the handler to the off-site CBWTF treatment plant, where it undergoes scientific treatment and final safe disposal.
